Heritage BC Award
Written by Rialto

heritage bc1The British Columbia Heritage Award is conferred annually by the Minister responsible for heritage in the province of British Columbia. The award recognizes an individual whose long term leadership and contributions to the conservation and presentation of British Columbia's heritage have been exemplary.

The Award consists of a mounted plaque and a ministry gift of $10,000 to a non-profit heritage-related organization or project, designated by the award recipient. The recipient is announced in February during Heritage Week, and the award is presented by the Minister (or representative) at Heritage BC's annual award ceremony, usually the first week of June.
